Our thoughts are with the whanau of Te Arikinui Dame Te Atairangikaahu, the people of Tainui waka, the Kingitanga and indeed Aotearoa.

An intriguing time visiting the Trust Waikato National Contemporary Arts Award (John Hurrell reviews it here) and to note the high number of ‘moving images’. Shelton’s homage to Frederick B. Butler A Library to Scale is truly moving in all senses. It’s helpful to see the work in the context of all of Shelton’s work about Butler.

Also of interest is the ‘digital story’ about the 1981 Tour. What a powerful event it would have been if the Museum had assisted people to tell their own digital stories about being on the field, in the grounds and nearby.
